The Ideal Home Show 2015

This year I was kindly invited by British Gas to attend the 2015 Ideal Home Show at Olympia.

I have always wanted to go to this event as I have a huge passion for property developing, interior design and homeware. It was like heaven. My friend Dave and I literally had the best day and took full advantage of the free tasters, especially the cheese, wine and self service teeth whitening stall. Pearly white teeth.

When I was there I visited the British Gas stall to talk about how home renovation can help save energy to which they told me about Hive Active Heating. Hive Active Heating allows users to control their heating and hot water anywhere using an app on their smartphone, tablet and laptop. Amazing. I was surprised to find out that you don't need to change suppliers to get this technology either as it is available to all. This is an amazing development and also a great money saving tip.

I would have to say that my two favourite stalls were Smeg and east2eden. Smeg has always been an all time favourite of mine and I fell in love with so many of their appliances, especially the stripy fridge in the picture below. Shame I can't afford it! I also bought a really pretty box from the east2eden stall for £5 which you will see in a post later this week. Absolute bargain. I will definitely be buying some more stuff from their online site very soon!

I also met Laurence Llewelyn Bowen. He took the piss out of me wearing green.
